Anthony N. Gentile, MD, PhD
Gynecology
Dr. Anthony N. Gentile was born and raised in Connecticut. He performed his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and completed four years of residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Danbury and Yale-New Haven Hospitals affiliated with Yale University Medical School in New Haven, Connecticut. In addition, Dr. Gentile holds a Ph.D. and Post Doctoral Fellowship in Biophysics from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

Dr. Gentile is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and also by the American Board of Quality Assurance & Utilization Review. In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Gentile is past-chairman of the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Community Hospital of Munster, Indiana. He was past-chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. James Hospitals Chicago Heights and Olympia Fields, Illinois. For 10 year, he served as a member of the Physician National Review Board for WellPoint Inc / Bluecross Blueshield, the nations leading health benefits company.

Dr. Gentile is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Indiana University Medical School - Northwest and teaches medical students clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a Clinical Preceptor for Valparaiso University, Concordia University Wisconsin and Purdue University Northwest. He is a past Clinical Associate at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Gentile has been in private practice since 1991, originally in the Flossmoor and Chicago Heights, Illinois and now in Munster and Dyer, Indiana since 2001.

Dr. Gentile spends time with each patient emphasizing education and preventive care. This enables his patients to take a greater role in their own health care.
